Egyptian security services are investigating a shocking child murder case in the city of Ismailia, committed by a peer. The investigation revealed that the killer used artificial intelligence technologies to plan the crime and dispose of the body. The 13-year-old suspect admitted to killing his friend in his apartment using a hammer and a knife, then dismembering the body with an electric 'jigsaw', mimicking scenes from foreign films. He stated that he even cooked and tasted a part of the victim's flesh out of curiosity. It turned out that the perpetrator was obsessed with the internet and used AI programs to find methods of killing and disposing of bodies. During the crime reenactment, he surprised the public prosecutor by giving him a calculator that belonged to the victim, an act described by investigators as 'revealing emotional coldness and complete detachment from humanity'. The investigation showed that the perpetrator meticulously planned the crime, luring the victim under the pretext of returning a stolen phone, and en route bought tools for the crime, including gloves, plastic bags, and a borrowed saw. After committing the crime, he dismembered the body into six parts in an attempt to conceal the evidence. The boy's father attempted to hide the crime scene by wiping blood and washing the carpet, and gave his son money to buy more bags for the body, leading to an official charge of participating in the concealment of evidence. According to sources, the motive for the murder was a desire for fame and to trend. The case has shocked public opinion in Egypt, especially after it became clear that the suspect's mother was married to another man after separating from his father, which caused psychological harm to the teenager. According to Egyptian child law, if a child between the ages of 12 and 15 commits a felony, the penalty is placement in a social care institution for a term of no less than 3 years and no more than 10 years. The Ismailia Public Prosecution has extended the detention of the suspect's father for 15 days, while the perpetrator remains in a care home for a similar period pending the completion of the investigation.
